Let you Go
This is a bold colored painted and collaged floral on a deep navy background. Collage pieces are created from painted recipe pages of a Southern Living Cookbook from 1997. I picked up the book from a thrift store in Florida for $1. No specific flower is featured here, but more many flowers and many colors which simply create many ways to happy. The painting name, Let you Go, is written on one of the edges, but then the other edges have white dots filled with black polka dots, to match the dot detail on the front. It has layers upon layers of paint and collage along with 2 layers of high gloss varnish to keep it looking shiny and new for years to come.
The name, Let you Go, comes from the lyrics of the song Million Reasons, by Lady Gaga. Lyrics from this song were painted on the very first layer of this painting to begin adding color and movement. The size of this piece is 9”x12” with 1” gusset. The wood is extremely lightweight and it comes with a sawtooth hanger installed on the back so that it can go directly on the wall!
